Why is Base Miami different from other accelerator programs?

Base Miami is the only market entry accelerator specializing in helping companies from Latin America launch in the United States. Our team of hands-on entrepreneur executives has the know-how, network and experience to get companies launched here in less than half the time and half the cost. Unlike most accelerator programs that “talk the talk”, we have walked the walk. We have started and exited multiple companies, raised tens of millions in venture capital and have decades of experience from Miami, Latam and Silicon Valley. We also pledge not to take any equity during the course of any of our programs.

What is the relationship between Mana Tech & Base Miami?

Mana Tech is the tech division of Moishe Mana's Mana Common. Through investments in technology ventures and the corresponding ecosystem, they aim to cultivate thriving and innovative tech community clusters within our neighborhoods. Base Miami and Mana Tech merged in April 2022 with the shared vision to revolutionize Miami into the next great tech hub for Latin American and Caribbean entrepreneurs. The alignment is a game-changer for Miami's tech scene combining the expertise and resources of each to build a more innovative and collaborative network.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of companies generally do you work with?

We work with companies that are led by entrepreneurs who are in the tech space across any industry vertical. Our programs are adapted depending if you are a small business owner or a startup founder. Once graduated, you’ll become part of our alumni community, which provides you with lifetime access to a global ecosystem of founders and mentors.

Do you take any equity?

Do I need to speak English?

As the program will be taught in English, we recommend that at least one of the team members has a strong understanding of English.

I am a government agency, how do the programs work?

We tend to run these in cohort programs in various formats catered to your specific needs. Generally most programs run for at least 4 weeks where we teach early stage startups everything they need to know for a soft landing in the US market. Startups go through the program in a cohort of 8-12 other companies from LATAM learning from industry experts, mentors as well as the community of cohorts. We work with each company individually to formulate an action plan for what they want to achieve during the program. Actionable goals and milestones will be set and tracked throughout the program. Get in touch with our team to discuss how we can tailor your program for your local startup ecosystem.

What type of commitment do I require?

Typically most programs require a minimum commitment of 4-6 hours per week to attend the workshops. But after that much time you invest in the programs is largely up to you.
