Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just figure this out on my own?

We work with high-energy, passionate and highly intelligent entrepreneurs. And they can figure out the market themselves. The real question is HOW LONG WILL THAT TAKE. Base Miami’s proven Market Fit program reduces the time from years to months to get to the same level of market understanding (or better). Companies typically take 18 - 24 months doing this on their own. Our core value add is our ability to reduce the time to a few months, lower the cost and reduce the risk of failure.

How long does the Market Fit program run for?

The program takes place over a period of 12 weeks. The timeline is just an estimation and a goal for us to be efficient in concluding the program on time. If for any reason we need to extend the program we will. The commitment is that until all deliverables are completed the program will not be finalized. After completion, you become a lifelong member of our alumni community.

What is the time commitment?

How much time you invest in the Market Fit program is largely up to you. For your first 5 weeks there is a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week attending sessions. Between meetings there will be deliverables that will also be required for the next meeting. Around week 6 we begin our outreach for meetings, over the following weeks the program is flexible to suit your requirements.

- You have US expansion plans within the next 12-18 months.
- You are thinking of hiring a Sales Rep in the United States.
- You are struggling with your initial pricing for the US.
- You are not sure who your target client is in the US.
- You don't want to spend $20k/mo on wasted trips to the United States.
- You or someone in your team is proficient in English.

You don't have to hold a US Visa or Green Card to register or buy a company in the US. However, it is important to know that setting up a business in the US doesn't authorize its individual owners to work in the US. In order to live and work in the US, a foreign citizen would need the appropriate visa.

Do you look after visa applications for the United States?

Base Miami does not sponsor individual(s) to obtain authorization to work in the U.S. We recommend chatting to one of our legal partners to help map out your goals and timeline.
